The floor of the pit will slope from east to west at about one percent. See
Exhibit F for final pit contours.
Topsoil and overburden will be evenly spread over the disturbed areas to a depth of 6 inches to
one foot. There several piles of overburden remaining from the Counties mining operation which
will be used to plate the areas previously mined. Additional material may be required from the area
to be mined to cover the area previously mined.
The distwbed areas will be seeded using the Tri River Area seeding mix for dryland grasses. See
attached. The seed will be drilled and mulched.
Seeding will be done around November 1 as recommended by Tri River Extension to take
advantage of winter moistwe.
The above described reclamation will be completed as the mining progresses with the seeding
being done in the fall. Estimated time to complete the reclamation is a maximum of one year
following completion of the mining.
The type of reclamation we are proposing is to return the azea to rangeland which it presently is.
This is compatible with the surrounding land use of the adjacent properties.
