Aggregate Source
Permit No. M-77-193
Dear Ladies and Gentlemen:
It appears that T.H.E. Aggregate Source has not met the storm-
water management conditions set by the Board by the deadline of
March 30, 1996. There is no established stormwater management play
in effect.
It has been my concern that there be in place a stormwater
management system to handle run-off to the south from T.H.E. Aggregate
Source operation. As it currently stands, the water-flow route from
the aggregate production site jeopardizes Tunnel Drive itself, my
property at 154 Tunnel Drive, the Hydraulic Ditch Canal, and perhaps
the (now) Southern Pacific Railroad.
It appears that T.H.E. Aggregate Source, through failure to apt in
a timely manner, by omission has left its stormwater management as it
has been during the last three years. In fact, it has become worn=,
inasmuch as T.H.E. Aggregate Source has constructed a berm along the
south edge of property it holds on the south side of Tunnel Drive.
(This berm was made in development of a turn-around area used by the
quarry operation on a small wedge-shaped peice of land south of Tunnel
Drive. Formerly this area sloped to the south and was covered by crush,
grass and cobbles, providing some ability to absorb water run-off shove
Hydraulic Ditch Canal. The flattened area and the berm preclude a1y
water route other than across my property and into the canal. Any
increase in the quarry operation would worsen an already hazardous
situation.)
