The site is accessible by an <br />existing road that will not require grading prior to drilling. <br />Several sensitive species mayoccasionallyusethistypeofhabitat,andmaybepresentatthesite. These <br />species include: dwazfshrew, fox sparrow, merlin, and Lewis' woodpecker. Individuals ofthese species <br />may utilize this habitat at times, but this is not preferred habitat for any ofthe species. There are some lazge <br />dead snags at the site that mayprovide good hunting perches for raptors, but there is not suitable raptor <br />nesting habitat within 1/4 mile of the site. None of these species were observed at or near the site. <br />RAV 8 is located at the end ofanATV/4 wheel drive trail on the top ofa ridge. The area shows signs of <br />` disturbancewithinthelast5yearsandthevegetationconsistsprimarilyofGambel'soak. Theelevation <br />~"' is 8,200 feet above MSL. The ATV/4 wheel drive trail will need to be improved before drilling. <br />,y; Several sensitive speciesmayoccasionallyusethistypeofhabitat,andmaybepresentatthesite. The drill pad site has already been cleazed but the dominant vegetation type is Gambel's oak in <br />undisturbed areas.
