David Berry
July 9, 1990
Page 7

RESPONSE:
In view of information within the original C-84-062 Findings of Compliance
Document pertaining to the Alluvial Valley Floor findings, it appears that
the data collection program in question was proposed, but not implemented.
This is based upon the Division's finding that mining activities at Mine 3
would not disturb the AVF's (with the exception of the Middle Creek Office)
and the lack of correspondence relating to the sampling program. As a
result, CYCC has eliminated the wording dealing with the collection of
agricultural production data. The revised page 2.06-41 is enclosed.
Please note that page 2.06-41 has also been updated to direct inquiries
relating to hydrologic monitoring to Exhibit 15, Hydrologic Monitoring Plan.
MAPS
Several updates are required to bring the map section of this permit into
compliance. Please provide the following submittals.
1. Submit an updated "List of Maps". (Four copies)
RESPONSE:
An updated list of maps is enclosed.
MLRD CONCERN:
2. We are missing copies of Map No. 1 (Twentymile Park Hydrology).
Submittal of 3 copies would be very much appreciated.
RESPONSE:
Requested copies are enclosed.
MLRD CONCERN:
3. Please provide updated Hydrology features maps. Specifically, submit a
revised Map No. 4a which clearly shows all hydrologic features such as
ponds, ditches, small area exemptions, rock check dams, existing
culverts, silt fences, etc. Please also submit a revised Map No. 4B
which shows all monitoring locations, including all known spring
locations. The spring location map should show the mine pit areas as
is depicted in Figure 3 (AHR). The Eckman Park maps are good examples
of complete submittals. (Three copies).
RESPONSE:
Maps 4a and 4b have been revised to reflect the requested information. Map
4a (Hydrology) has undergone the following changes: Deletion of old wells
no longer used, piezometric contours, cross-section references, and
monitoring points/locations; addition of small area exemptions, rock filter,
ditches and sumps.
Map 4 b (Hydrologic Monitoring Program) has undergone the following
revisions: Addition of mine pit areas and spoil springs - The reason that
