June 25, 1999
Mr. Jim Dillie
Page 2

Attachment 1 presents the disturbances with the current mine permit boundary and
affected lands. Also shown on Attachment 1 are the Pre-law disturbance areas. Exhibit 1
presents the disturbed area information in greater detail. Accompanying both Attachment
1 and Exhibit 1 are sketches showing the various disturbances for each of the areas of
Apache.
As these totals indicate, ROBCO needs additional moderate and minor acreage included
in the permit. The major disturbance component of 35 acres is adequate. However, it is
anticipated that an additional 15 acres of moderate to minor disturbance for a total
disturbance of 65 acres will allow continuation of the operation prior to formal bond
release of the reclaimed acreage. This change will be requested in the current Apache
Mine Amendment Application.
If there are any questions, or I may be of further assistance, please contact me. In my
absence, please contact Michael Elder, PE at 303-783-3067.
Sincerely,
.~~e%~G~~~~
Michael G. Leidich, PE
Vice-President Mining and Materials
encl.
