Rpr 29 t]3 12:32p
4.) Sareadine out semolina events. As discussed in our conversation of this date, wording
will be added to the first section of permit Exhibit 14, to the effect: The frequency of
required sampling/monitoring events will be adequately separated in time so as to provide
a meaningful data base. As an example, monthly events shall be approximately 30 days
apart, quarterly events shall be approximately 3 months apart, annual events aze
approximate]y one year apart, and biannual events are approximately 2 years apart. This
sepazation may be somewhat compressed based upon seasonal (e.g. winter/mud season)
conditions, and verbal approval by DMG
5.) Paee number correction. The requested correction will be made.
6.) Snrina samnline. Monitoring sampling of springs will be on asemi-annual basis. As
discussed in our conversation of today, TCC's practice has been to initially monitor in
May or June, which allows better site access and a higher probability of encountering
flowing springs during spring runoff. The second round of monitoring has been
conducted in the Fall (typically September/October). TCC will wording to the
monitoring requirements paragraph on Exhibit 14-2 to this effect.
7.) Reclamation schedule.
Attached is a table indicating our proposed reclamation schedule. As discussed, TCC is
requesting that bedrock wells 91M005, 97012TC, 97012TM, and 008-75-EFC be
considered as "deactivated". At this time, TCC will not abandon these, but leave them
intact fot potential future use. Well FBR-11B, which was damaged by subsidence of
panel 13, will be properly abandoned in the summer when conditions aze more
conducive. This area is currently flooded. An abandonment report will be submitted to
DMG.
Alluvial wells that have been eliminated from the monitoring program, will be filled with
a bentonite pellets, cut off three feet below grade, and the hole backfilled with soil. This
is anticipated to occur in the summer. Abandonment reports will be submitted to DMG.
Two of the eliminated surface sites (1002, and 304) have associated gage structures that
will be removed in the summer. No further action is necessary for the other eliminated
surface sites.
TCC appreciates your consideration of this Technical Revision. Please contact me
directly at (970) 870-2750, with any questions or comments.
Sincerely,
Brian A.
