The information you sent seems to address
most of the concerns and questions that arose during review of the
updated material you sent. Since you only addressed the questions
that were still unanswered in that letter, the Division assumes
that, except for any clarifications that may still be forthcoming
from Valco, all originally submitted information still applies.
The following list responds to each point of the letter referred to
above, and will also touch upon several other items.
Inclusion of processing area and buildings
The Division approves Valco's proposal to include the
processing/batching area and the buildings, all in the off-
permit land to the west of the present permit are~i. These
inclusions will become part of the permit area upon approval
of the amendment, and are now regarded as part of the present
amendment application.
Information supplied to-date indicates that there areeno other
permanent structures, besides the office building, which will
remain after reclamation. All other structures are portable
or will be removed prior to, or as part of, reclamation of the
site.
Valco will reclaim this area appropriately for a post-mining
land use of "commercial." Please supply a statement from the
county stating that this post-mining land use is consistent
with their plan. Also, because only land at the western end
of the permit area will be commercial, please supply a revised
reclamation map delineating the various land areas which will
be reclaimed for different land uses.
