Rule 2.04.4
1. For those areas to be disturbed by facilities, please submit
the information required by Rule 2.04.4.
Rule 2.04.7
For the ventilation shaft(s) area, please submit information
required by Rule 2.04.7(1)(a)(iv), 2.04.7(3) and (4)(a).
Rule 2.05.3
For the access roads proposed, the treatment ponds, and the
associated facilities please submit the information required
by Rule 2.05.3(3). Design criteria for the roads should
include, but is not limited to, plan view and cross-section
information. This information must be prepared and certified
by a registered professional engineer, (see Rule
2.05.3(3)(c)(vii)), as meeting the requirements of this Rule,
4.03.1, 4.03.2, and prudent engineering practices. Design
criteria for the proposed water impoundments must meet the
requirements of 2.05.3(4) in its entirety. Please review
these Rules and respond accordingly.
Rule 2.05.4
Please submit the post-mining contour maps and appropriate
cross-sections for the areas to be disturbed as required by
Rule 2.05.4(2)(c). Also, submit the description of measures
to be used to plug the three holes proposed as required by
Rule 2.05.4(2)(g).
Rule 2.05.6
Please submit the information required by Rule 2.05.6(3)(b)(i)
for those areas to be disturbed. Other than road culverts and
a clean water diversion, no surface water control information
was provided. If these areas are proposed as SAE's, the
appropriate sediment modelling demonstrations must be provided
as well as updating the SAE description text.
After review of the materials submitted, the Division has the
following specific questions:
At the downstream point where the clean water diversion
terminates, what is the potential for erosion due to the
channelized flow?
The bond calculations do not include costs for grouting of the
holes. If the materials from these holes is trucked to the
main facility as stated in the application, the bonding
calculations should including grouting the holes for their
entire depth.
