<br />' If used, submersible pumps, discharge hoses and cables will be <br />cleaned prior to initial use, and after pumping each well, in the <br />following manner: <br />' (1) external surfaces will be brushed free of all loose <br />material, washed with non-phosphatic detergent solution <br />' and rinsed with clean tap water; <br />(2) internal surfaces will be cleaned by placing the pump in <br />a clean drum with non-phosphatic detergent solution, <br />allowing the pump to operate, followed by a clean tap <br />water rinse with the pump operating; <br />' (3) cleaning solutions will be contained and disposed of <br />properly (if required); <br />(4) the pump, discharge hose and cable will be wrapped in <br />' plastic sheeting for transportation and storage. <br />' Bailers will be cleaned, prior to initial use, and after each <br />subsequent use, in the following manner: <br />' (1) Non-phosphatic detergent and tap water wash. <br />(2) Tap water rinse. <br />' (3) Total air dry. <br />(4) Wrapped in aluminum foil or plastic immediately after <br />cleaning. <br />' 2.2.2 Sample Containers: Containers used in the collection of samples <br />will be supplied by the laboratory performing the analysis. The <br />' type of container used for sample collection will be dictated by <br />the parameter(s) for which the sample is to be analyzed. A listing <br />' of the appropriate containers and preservatives for specific <br />parameters is presented in Table 5. <br />1 <br />-12- <br /> <br />
