If, in their opinion, the deficiency does not <br />' warrant recollection of the sample, the flow of sample management <br />will continue. All such deficiencies in sample quality control <br />will be noted on the Field Data Collection Sheet. <br />2.1.10 Dispatch Samples to the Laboratory: Samples will be delivered by the <br />field sampling personnel or shipped for overnight delivery to an <br />' analytical laboratory certified by the U.S. EPA for Safe Drinking <br />Water Act protocols for analyses according to these protocols. <br />Shipping coolers will be provided with a security seal, <br />2.1.11 Laboratorv Review of Sample InteErity and Paperwork: upon accepting <br />' delivery of the chain of custody, a copy of this chain of custody <br />will be included as part of the laboratory's analysis deport. <br />1 <br />The laboratory will next inspect the security seal on the cooler to <br />' determine if the samples have been tampered with. Aftter opening <br />the cooler the laboratory will remove and sign the enclosed chain <br />' of custody indicating the time and date the cooler was opened. A <br />thorough inspection of the samples will be conducted tm evaluate: <br />' (1) that the ice pack is still partially froz@n and the <br />contents of the cooler have remained in a chilled <br />' condition during transport; <br />' (2) that the sample containers are intact and frQe from <br />external contamination; <br />' -9- <br /> <br />
