1 <br />' Sample containers will be wiped clean prior to shipment or cold <br />storage. <br />2.1.6 On-Site Storm: When circumstances do not permit analyses of <br />samples on the same day as collection, samples will be maintained <br />at 0° to 4°C. <br />' 2.1.7 Package Samples for StoraPe at Laboratory and Prepare Shipping Do~CUments: The <br />' sample containers will be packed in the shipping coolers. The <br />sample chain of custody will be placed in a plastic bag in the <br />cooler with the samples. Sufficient ice will be a d--to-~e~~i -b°~`-/ <br />cooler to maintain a temperature.of-agl y 4°C for a period <br />of 8 hours. Coolers containing samples ready for shipment will be <br />' sealed with a security tape. ~D, \, <br />D~ <br />' 2.1.8 Review of Paperwork and Sample Integrity: Prior to closiur of the <br />shipping cooler, sample containers will be given a final nspection <br />' that they are tightly sealed, bottles are not broker and are <br />packaged properly for shipment. Chain of custody reco*ds will be <br />examined as to whether custody has been maintained and i accounted <br />1 for and that the field sampling personnel ~~'~dhered to <br />' filtration, preservation and storage protocols. A final review of <br />shipping documents will be performed to check whethezt they have <br />been filled out properly. <br />2.1.9 Final Quality Control Check: A final QC check will be harried out <br />' before samples are delivered for analysis. A review will be <br />conducted by the field sampling personnel relative to whether the <br />samples are within the quality control limits. If a situation <br />arises, during this review, where a sample, or paper Work, falls <br />outside of the control criteria, the field sampling personnel will <br />1 <br />take appropriate corrective measures.
