9.2.10 ToPSOil Removal, Handling and Storage
•
I 1
LJ

Since the permit area is an existing industrial site without
vegetation and significant topsoil, and is covered with 10 inches
of gravel, any material removed during construction of the pond
will not be stockpiled. Any material removed will be used for the
construction of berms or for fill within the permit area. As
described in the reclamation section, after completion of the
project, the material will be used to refill the pond excavation,
the area regraded, and recovered with gravel.
9.2.11 Disposal of Refuse Material
The only refuse material that may be generated at this facility is
fine sediment that may accumulate in the sediment pond. Since the
entire permit area is covered by 10 inches of gravel, it is
unlikely that significant volumes of sediment will accumulate in
the pond. However, should the sediment pond require cleaning from
time to time, any sediment removed from the pond will be trucked
back to the NCIG mine site and disposed in the refuse pile and
refuse slurry system (as described in the Permit C-89-065, 1990
Revision).
9.2.12 Blasting
No blasting will occur at this facility.
NCIG - Load Out Revision
4-8
ABC/1145/910531
a~s~91
