4. An air pressure monitoring device. <br />• PART 3: EXECUTION <br />3.01 SUBGRADE: <br />CONTRACTOR, on a daily basis, shall certify in writing that the surface on which the geomembrane <br />will be installed is acceptable. It will be the CONTRACTOR'S responsibility to maintain, protect, and <br />if required return, the subgrade in the condition that was originally accepted, prior to geosynthetic <br />deployment until accepted by CC& V, under criteria identified in Section 02200 as per the Bedding Fill <br />and Soil Liner Fill SPECIFICATIONS. <br />3.02 ACCEPTANCE: <br />CONTRACTOR shall retain all ownership and responsibility for the geomembrane until final <br />acceptance. The geomembrane shall be accepted by CC&V when all of [he following conditions are <br />met: <br />1. Installation is finished. <br />2. Verification of the adequacy of all seams and repairs, including associated testing, is <br />complete. <br />3. Certification, including QC documentation is provided by CONTRACTOR to <br />MANAGER. <br />4. Recommended acceptance by MANAGER and CERTIFYING ENGINEER. <br />• 5. The entire PROJECT, including Drain Cover Fill placement and Diversion Channe] <br />construction is completed. <br />3.03 ANCHOR TRENCH: <br />A. The anchor trenches shall be excavated to the lines, grade, and width shown on the <br />DRAWINGS, prior to geosynthetic placement. CERTIFYING ENGINEER shall verify that <br />the anchor trench has been constructed according to the DRAWINGS. <br />Slightly rounded comers shall be provided in the trench where the geomembrane adjoins the <br />trench so as to avoid sharp bends in the geomembrane. <br />B. The anchor trench shall be backfilled and compacted as approved by MANAGER, DESIGN <br />ENGINEER and CERTIFYING ENGINEER. Trench backfill material shall be placed in <br />eight (8) to twelve (12) inch thick loose lifts and compacted by wheel rolling with light, <br />rubber-tired or other light compaction equipment, as approved by CERTIFYING <br />ENGINEER. <br />Care shall be taken when backfilling the trenches to prevent any damage to the geomembrane. <br />At no time shall construction equipment come into direct contact with the geomembrane. If <br />damage occurs, it shall be repaired by CONTRACTOR prior to the completion of <br />back£lling, at no cost to CC&V. <br />C. Extend geomembrane into the anchor trench as shown in the DRAWINGS.
