Consideration of amendment to enlarge permit area from <br />200 acres. <br />Staff said this amendment would increase the amount of the reclamation <br />bond for this operation, as well as the permit area. This operator <br />succeeded to this permit; it was previously operated by Mr. Ted Zigan. <br />As a result of an investigation by the Division, the site was <br />determined to be outside of its permit boundary. Therefore, the <br />operator was asked to submit an amendment to bring the operation into <br />compliance with statutes. <br />The operator submitted the amendment, and the Division has addressed <br />all of the outstanding adequacy concerns., A disagreement between the <br />Division and the operator exists regarding the proposed bond amount; <br />the Division proposes X170,000. The band amount prior to the amendment <br />was and remains L11,000. Staff answered questions fromlthe Board. <br />Ms. Nancy Comer-Baker, representing the operator, discussed their <br />proposal for the reclamation bond for this site. There~is some <br />disagreement regarding the reclamation required for thelsite and the <br />method to be used far completion. She answered questions from the <br />Board. <br />The Division responded to questions from the Board regarding the type <br />of reclamation equipment to be used and bond calculation.
