Remove Train Loadout and Stockpile Area from Permit

The Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section 116, Paragraph 4,
of the Colorado Revised S[a[utes, that on March 19, 2001, an application [o revise coal mining operations a[ the Bowie Mine
No. 1 was considered complete for the purposes of filing. The revision was submitted by Bowie Resources Limited. All review
and comment periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations initiate from this date of filing.
Technical Revision No. 35 provides for the removal of the Bowie No. 1 Train Loadout and stockpile area, including the
associated reclamation liability, from the Bowie No. 1 Permit. Under a separate revision, Technical Revision No. 19, [he vain
loadout and stockpile area, including the associated reclamation liability, would be added to the Bowie No. 2 Permit. No other
changes would occur with this revision.
The Underground coal mining operation is on land located approximately 3 miles north of Paonia, Colorado. The permit area is
further described as follows:
Portions of Sections 1, 2, 3, 10-15, 22-25, Township 13 South, Range 92 West of the 6th P.M.
Portions of Sections 5-8, 17-19, 29-32, Township 13 South, Range 91 West of [he 6th P.M.
The above-mentioned vacts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 ntinute Quadrangle map of Bowie.
The applicant is required [o publish notice in a local newspaper that this application has been deemed complete. A[ the time of
publication of this notice, the applicant is additionally required to place a copy of [his application at the Paonia Public Library,
140 Grand Avenue, Paonia, CO 81428, and a[ [he Division office. For additional information or ro provide written comments,

order for us to comply with regulatory time frames, we request that comments be submitted within fifteen (15) days of [his
