Tectonic Construction, Co. Page 2
MLRB Permit # M-84-099
Technical Revision
We have combined Phases 2 and 3 into one, Phase 2 and com-
bined lakes 4 , 5 and 7 into one lake, now designated Lake 2. We
also , renumbered the lakes to reflect their order of creation.
The medium shaded area in Phase 2 is where the pipeline Right of
Way and setbacks split old Phase 2 and cut the top off of old lake
7 . The dark shaded area is the strip of land that separated lake
5 from lake 7 that will be removed. When this is done we have
created one large lake out of three smaller ones. The light
shaded area in Phase 1 , was not mined because there is no gravel
under the overburden. The last item new to this map is the area
in Phase 1 where we are developing wetland habitat. Each change
will be discussed in detain below.
PHASE 1 CHANGES
In - Phase 1 the change that we show was the result of finding
that the gravel was thinning out as we moved towards the north
property line. This is a 5 .53 acres ± parcel along the northwest
property line that did not have any gravel under it and 9 .78 acre
addition of a wetland development area where the gravel was
shallow, less than 8 feet deep. Two islands were created on the
southern end of the lake as a way to use excess topsoil and
fulfill a request by the landowners. These two changes decreased
the lake surface in Phase 1 by 7 .21 ac. ± and will benefit the
final land use as originally proposed. They will enhance the area
further.
PHASE 2 CHANGES
This is where most of the changes in the plan will take
place. First, we are combining Phase 2 and 3 in one phase , now
called Phase 2 . It is here that the gasline R. O.W. , setbacks and
slope were removed as stated in the approved plan. In the
original plan, the northern end of old Lake 7 was un-minable
because it was between the river setback and the pipeline and was
too small to mine. In this change we extended the northern end of
Lake 7 to the 100 foot setback along the river and took out the
separation between Lakes 5 and 7. This will combine lakes 4 , 5
and 7 into one lake now numbered Lake 2. The water surface area
in Lake 2 will increased by 9 .08 acres ±, and the revegetated area
decreases by 5 .69 acres ±. We stand to gain approximately
191 ,422 YD3 of material based on a reserve depth of 15 feet.
The overall net changes are minor in nature when you compare
the attached timetable with those originally submitted on pages 11
and 20 of the permit application. There is an increase in lake
surface of 1 .87 acres ± and revegetated area by 1 .52 acres ± on a
parcel of land containing 216 . 81 acres ±.
PLANT SITE. CHANGE/LAKE RE-NUMBERING
Originally there were to be two plant sites as mining
progressed. One was to be located north of the St. Vrain River
