Mr. Kent Gorham
October 23, 1997
Page 3
In reference to the two maps 13A, we propose to leave the Drainage Basins Map dated 2/5/87
as Map 13A and move the Sediment and Surface Water Control, Silo Area detailed drawing to
Exhibit l9 with the associated sedcad runs which were approved as TR-39. All of the
information on the Silo Area figure is currently on Map 13 and is not necessary to be displayed
as a separate mine map. Since our copy of the permit did not have the TR-39 information in it,
we have attached three copies of this material to be inserted into your copies of tfie document
if the information has not already been inserted.
The Table of Contents for maps has been updated to show the revision dates of all maps.
Picketwire also requests that the Division approve the use of flocculent at pond sites for emergency
discharge or for regular cleaning activities. This request has been made to the Department of Public
Health and Environment (see attached request) and should be incorporated into the NPDES permit
in the near future. Page 2.05-10a has been revised to indicate the situations when flocculent will
be used.
Should you have questions or need additional information concerning these materials, please do not
hesitate to let me know.
Sincerely,
~ ~ ~°~
Jeny H. Koblitz
Principal
Attachments
cc Mr. Jim Cooper - Picketwire
