~ S
• •
b) H-P Geotech is preparing a short discussion of the terrace
slope stability with appropriate calculations to show why the
slopes have been stable. These slopes have been standing for
nine years, the first three without any vegetation. No
erosion features are evident nor has any slope ever failed
during since construction.
c) The application requests that the main road will remain in
its present width (Section 4.4.2.11, page 4-63).
Operator is at a loss to answer the question about "light use
roads which page 6-3 indicates will be left in place....".
Stipulation 14 "Reclamation of light-duty roads" on page 6-3
states as follows:
"The light duty roads used during exploration have been
reclaimed and inspected by CMLRD. The successful
reclamation resulted in a release of bond, as per CLMRD
letter dated December 31, 1987 (by Susan Mowry)."
None of those roads were in the disturbed area and none
remains within the 5 year permit.
Please retain the Figure 4.7-4 from the previous
submittal. Since this figure is on transparent paper it could
not be reproduced within the Glenwood Springs area.
Also exhibits 4.--1, 4.7-2 and 4.7-3 are copies of the
professional engineer's original submittal. Attacherd hereto
are copies of such original. Please insert the original from
the previous submittal with the enclosed material.
Sincerely,
G!/~--~
~~f~~ I
E.
