t <br />', <br />' (2) Quarterly sampling of the drain system at the base of the <br />tailings facility (CMLRB Permit No. M-88-112}; <br />(3) Monthly sampling (weekly during the first six months of <br />' operation) of the leak detection system in the collection <br />pond (CMLRB Permit No. M-88-112); <br />' (4) Semi-annual sampling at the lysimeter locations in the <br />' vicinity of the collection pond (stipulations between <br />Battle Mountain and Dos Hermanos Ranch, dated November <br />30, 1990 and October 15, 1991, as part of Case No. <br />89CW32); and <br />(5) Semi-annual sampling at the two off-site wells (condition <br />of decree (Paragraph 26(c)i) in Case No. 89OW32, dated <br />' November 12, 1991). <br /> However, based on a Notice of Violation (NOV) issued on March 31, <br />' 1992 and a NOV Abatement Plan issued on April 24, 1992, the water <br /> quality monitoring schedule will be modified as follows: <br /> <br /> (1) Monitoring stations RS-5, RS-6, M-2, M-6, M-7, M-8, M-9, <br /> M-12 and M-13 will be sampled on a bi-weekly basis if <br /> sufficient sample volume is available; <br /> <br /> (2) Five process system points will be sampled on a bi-weekly <br /> basis, including pre-detox, post-detox, upper impoundment <br /> area, lower impoundment area and the collection pond <br /> feeder ditch: <br /> <br /> (3) Lysimeters will be checked on a bi-weekly basis, and if <br />1 sufficient sample is obtained, the sample will be <br /> submitted for analysis; <br /> <br /> -z- <br /> <br />
