Cattany <br />2768 COmpaSS Dr1Ve, SUlte 101 Division Director <br />Grand Junction, Colorado 81506 <br />RE: Bowie No. 1 Mine, Permit No. C-81-038, Permit Renewal No. 4 Adequacy Review <br />Dear Mr. Stover: <br />The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology (Division) has finished its review of Bowie <br />Resource Limited's (BRL) responses, dated March 28, 2003, to the Division's adequacy review <br />letter dated February 20, 2003 for Permit Renewal No. 4 for the Bowie No. 1 Mine. The <br />following is the status of the adequacy review: <br />Section 2.03,4. Identification of Interests <br />Please update the ident~cation of interests information that is required in Secttons <br />2.03.4(1) through (10) of the permit application, where applicable. The updates should <br />include, but not be limited to, ownership and control information that is required in <br />Section 2.03.4(3) and (4), the list of the owners of record ofsurface areas to be affected <br />and the list of owners of record of the coal to be mined, as required in Section 2.03.4(6) <br />and the list of the owners of record of the surface and subsurface areas that are <br />contiguous to the permit area that is required in Section 2.03.4(7). <br />The Division has already contacted Bowie Resources Limited (BRL) concerning the <br />updating of the ownership and control information. It is the Division's understanding <br />that the parent company of BRL has been changed to Horizon Natural Resources <br />Company. Please update the ownership and control information accordingly. <br />BRL presented information in a submittal dated March 17, 2003. This question is being <br />dealt with in the Division's adequacy review letter dated April 11, 2003. <br />Section 2.03.5.
