VRAIN LAKE GRADING IMPROVEMENT PLANS <br />~, Page 13 <br />~ (MSDS) and other safety information for a potentially toxic or hazardous <br />' ` substance will be on file and accessible (on the site) during all periods <br />T , in which the substance is used or stored. <br />' ' In addition to maintaining an inventory of potentially toxic and/or <br />hazardous materials and associated safety information, the following <br />i a materials management practices must be followed: <br />~ Materials will be handled in accordance with Occupational Safety <br />and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements and manufacturer's <br />instructions. <br />• Chemicals regulated under the Comprehensive Environmental <br />Response, Compensations and Liability Act (CERCLA) will be <br />reported and handled in accordance with relevant regulations. <br />• Materials stored at the construction site will be covered or otherwise <br />protected from the elements. <br />• The quantity of fuel and lubricants stored at the construction site will <br />be limited to the amount that is reasonable to support the specific <br />construction or maintenance activity. Strict storage practices (i.e., <br />off-site storage) are preferable. Fuel, hydraulic oil and form oil <br />should be stored offsite. <br />• Bulk storage areas for materials not consumed on a daily basis will <br />be enclosed and protected from the elements and contained in a <br />manner to prevent release to the environment. <br />• Petroleum products and fertilizers will be stored at separate facilities <br />or isolated by impermeable barriers. <br />• Hypochlorite and other chlorine compounds will be stored <br />separately from other materials and kept dry. <br />• Areas at the construction site that are used for storage of toxic <br />materials and petroleum products shall be designed with an <br />
