• iii iiiiiiiiiiiu iii
__
_ -__
__ __
TUTTLE APPLEGATE, INC.
Consultants for Land and Resource Development
August 3, 1990
Mr. John Hickman
Mobile Premix
P.O. Box 215001
Denver, CO 80221
RE: Comments on Adequacy Review, Howe Pit Amendment File No. M-
78-052
Dear John:
I have reviewed the comments regarding your application to the
MLRD from Mr. Doerfer in a letter dated July 25, 1990 and can
provide you with the following comments and supplamerto.l
information as requested. My comments correspond to the numbered
comments of Mr. Doerfer and are limited to only those items that
you requested be addressed by myself. It is my understanding
that you will address all other comments.
Based on my review of the comments, I can provide you with the
following additional information:
7. The sections and details requested UDFCD were a part of
Plate I that was in my original drainage study reviewed by
both Adams County and the UDFCD. A copy of this Plate is
enclosed for reference. The spillways would be constructed
per the gravel mining criteria and the rundown would be
engineered using criteria normally used for drop structures.
A copy of this plan should be submitted to MLRD for
additional reference to the engineering design.
There are no final plans for the rundown, however, it is
premature to request final engineering design on an
application that has no guarantee of approval. Final plans
will be submitted to the UDFCD prior to the construction of
the rundown for their approval.
11990 Grant Street Suite 410 Denver, Colorado 80233 452-6611
