Section 4.4 Reclamation - 5 Year Permit Term
28) This section should be updated to reflect the current
status of the operation.
29) Table 4.4-1 - Estimated Reclamation Schedule should be
updated.
30) Table 4.4-3b - Final Reclamation Seeding Mix and Rates
should be updated if land use changes are proposed which
change the seeding mix.
31) Page 4-58, last line states, "Planting will commence in
the fall of 1990." This statement should be updated.
32) Section 4.4.3.1 - Mine, Shaft and Drill Hole Closure:
Please specify which monitoring wells will be abandoned
during the upcoming reclamation.
33) Page 4-61, 2nd Paragraph, 4th Sentence states' "In any
short, very steep channels (greater than 3:1) are created
to control runoff flow, they were rocked to minimize
erosion." Please replace this statement with a complete
sentence that conveys the intended message.
Section 4.5 Post Mining Land IIae
34) If NCIG proposes to change the postmining land use for
_ some portions of the permit area, then this section needs
to be updated to address the proposed changes.
Section 4.6.3 Protection of the Hydrologic Balance
35) Section 4.6.3.3 Ongoing Groundwater Monitoring should be
updated to reflect the proposed changes due to the
upcoming reclamation, if applicable.
SECTION VI - BONDING BLTMMARY
No permitting actions have transpired since the reclamation cost
estimate was last calculated by DMG in November, 1992. Reclamation
costs have not changed since the last estimate either. The current
reclamation bond held by the Division is sufficient for existing
disturbances on site. Should additional construction commence on
the site, the operator will need to provide appropriate bond in
accordance with Stipulation No. 4
8
