Water
7 will have to be pumped from the local aquifer to
8 allow the minin
to commence
The water that is
g
.
' 9 pumped from the aquifer is considered to be
10 tributary water and, therefore, that -- any
11 depletions that that creates to Rito Seco will have
12 to be augmented. And the plan is to augment gnat
13 water with the consumptive use water from the
14 Columbian Ranch, so that in time and place, there
15 will be no depletion to Rito Seco.
16 That's -- the amount of depletion that
17 potentially could occur is a matter of monitoring
18 and understanding, once you start dewatering, of how
19 much that will be. But the augmentation plan will
20 put in place, an accounting procedure whereby it can
21 be evaluated, and if X amount of water is depleted
22 from Rito Seco, then X amount of water will be put
23
2 back into Rito Seco. So there are no net depletions
4 to the creek.
25 And Z should mention that if,-in fact,
,, AGREN, BLANDO 6 BILLINGS
