Can you tell me how <br />5 extensive that was and just explain that to a <br />6 layman. <br />7 MR. SMITH: We took the prepare3 <br />8 (inaudible) test, the real type generation as a <br />9 result of testing, and we ran them using method EPA <br />l0 -- I should explain perhaps what that method is. <br />11 The original EP toxicity test used to <br />12 define what was hazardous is designated 1310. They <br />13 then changed the process to solid waste leaching <br />14 procedure, EPA method 1311. And now, because they <br />15 were inappropriate for mineral waste Such a~, <br />16 tailings and waste, they have come up with a~n acid <br />17 leach process. <br />18 There are three actual leach processes <br />19 defined number 1312, with different (inaudible) the <br />20 leach. The one we used was the most severe in this <br />21 particular case. We leached the tank to see what we <br />22 could get. <br />23 We did this both to determine whether <br />24 they did have any characteristics and just what <br />25 would leach out along that basis in terms of <br />AGREN, BLANDO & BILLINGS <br />
