GOMEZ: So we have a guarantee that
the Rito Seco water will not be -- will not flow
into that pit?
UNIDENTIFIED PERSON: Yes.
(Inaudible.)
THE CHAIRMAN: Just a minute, please.
(Inaudible.)
Mr. Massey?
MR. MASSEY: Let me respond to that
briefly. The question of Rito Seco hydrology was
something that was subject, particularly as it.
relates to the mine pits, was something that was
subject to the original permit and hasn't been
changed in the context of this amendment in any way,
shape or form. And for that reason, I don't think
that line of questioning is appropriate at this
proceeding.
In brief response, if the Board wi:11
recall, there was also a grout curtain that wa:s
committed to in the course of that permit to avoid
any connection between that pit and the alluvial
surface flows from the Rito Seco.
That is not at issue in this proceeding.
THE CHAIRMAN: Did you get the answer to
your question?
AGREN, BLANDO & BILLINGS
