Amendment #1
Exhibit C -Mining Plan continued
F. Dimensions of Significant Disturbances;
The total impacted land surface will be 9.7 ac.. No Impoundments or waste disposal azeas aze
anticipated.
The mine will be opened by pulling the or pushing materials into the pit away from the edge with
a track hoe or dozer creating a berm around the perimeter of the mine site this will minimize any
off-site movement of materials by rolling down the hill. This berm will be reduced in size as the
mine deepens by continuing to push or pull the berm into the pit floor. The surface area impacted
will continue to enlarge as the pit progresses, reclamation will occur after the pit has been mined
out.
A buffer will be maintained along the west pit boundary sufficient to store topsoils for future
reclamation (~15ft).
G. Roadways;
No changes
H. Water Usage and Source;
No Changes
I. Surface or Groundwater Disturbance;
No Changes
J. Compliance with Colorado Water Law;
There is no impact to adjoining or downstream users as the site is a "dry site". Berms will be
maintained azound the pit floor to contain onsite any potential stormwater runoff. The site will be
maintained as a "NO Dischazge" site.
K. Acidic and Toaic Materials;
No acidic or toxic materials are to be used or stored on the site. Bulk liquids associated with
equipment refueling and asphalt production will have temporary earthen berms installed
surrounding the containers while stored on-site. The berms will be constructed to sufficient size
to control any accidental spillage. Atypical berm maybe 1 to 2 feet high constructed of fine
grained on site soils, plastic sheeting may be added as necessary.
~`
