of the existing WRA to contain stormwater runoff from the existing WRA. A second berm, <br />constructed of waste rock, is located at the top of the WRA to prevent surface water from the <br />mine facilities area from flowing onto the WRA. A catchment is located north of the WRA to <br />detain any surface water that flows off of the WRA before leaving the site. <br />Tonsoil Stockpile -One topsoil stockpile, resulting from historical development operations at the <br />Topaz Mine, is located west of the existing WRA. In addition, the berm north of the existing <br />WRA consists of topsoil <br />Maintenance Shoo - A maintenance shop (20 feet by 35 feet) is centrally located on the western <br />portion of the existing WRA, northwest of the portal. A small office is located at the rear of the <br />shop. The building is used for minor maintenance, office work, and materials storage. The shop <br />is constructed of prefabricated metal and is built on a concrete slab. Although no additional <br />buildings are anticipated for the surface facilities area, any new buildings that may be added in <br />the future will be painted a "Military Olive" color at the recommendation of the US Forest <br />Service to blend the buildings in with the natural surroundings. Military Olive is color number <br />19-0622 TPX as defined by the Fluid Minerals Group or Recreation Group, Washington Office of <br />the US Forest Service. Equipment and vehicles with mechanical problems are taken to a nearby <br />town for repair. Salvage vehicles and parts are not kept at the Topaz Mine site. <br />Desienated Parking - An unpaved parking area is located immediately west of the maintenance <br />shop. The parking area accommodates about six vehicles. The parking area may be expanded as <br />more space is made available by the expansion of the WRA and full production requires <br />additional employees. <br />Buried Water Tanks -The maintenance shop is served by potable water provided by a 500-gallon <br />steel buried water tank located southwest of the maintenance shop. The non-potable water is used <br />in the shop for non-drinking water uses. All labor at the mines is supplied to Denison by mine <br />contractors. The water tanks are periodically filled by a mine contractor. <br />Drill Water Tank - A 500-gallon buried steel water tank is located immediately east of the portal <br />Non-potable water in this tank is used for drilling inside the mine and is supplied by a mine <br />contractor. <br />Fuel Tank - A 1,000-gallon steel diesel fuel tank is located south of the maintenance shop and is <br />used to supply diesel fuel for the heavy equipment used in mining operations.
