,; ~ <br />about 150 or 200 yards below what is locally known as Stephens <br />Saw tdill (it being the same channel through which vrater is now <br />conducted to the old site of Stephens Saw Idill), in the South- <br />.w~es~-t Quarter of Section Two (2), Township Thirty-six (36), North <br />Range Nine (9) West, N hS P Id; also being the identical old <br />channe}~ from which the original Hall-Idle Hitch derived and <br />diverted its supply of water, and in close proximity to a point <br />where said Hall-Idle headgate was originally located. <br />From the headgate said ditch runs in a general southerly <br />~~ r%' course. <br />3 That the dimensions of said ditch as originally <br />constructed were: 2 feet in width on the bottom; 18 inches in <br />depth; 1/2 mile in length; 4 feet in width at the top; grade <br />"~ 10.56 feet per mile; with a carrying capacity in excess of <br />1-1/2 cubic feet of water per second of time. <br />That under said second appropriation of water from said <br />!~ river and old channel, by said Reid Ditch, the said ditch was <br />extended in a northerly direction above said original Hall-Idle <br />(now the Reid) headgate, for a distance of approximately three <br />(3) miles; that said Reid Ditch as enlarged, is now of the <br />following dimensions, to wit: 6-1/2 feet in width; 3 feet in <br />depth; grade 3-1 /2 feet per mile; length 10-1/2 miles; with a <br />carrying capacity in excess of forty (40) cubic Peet of water <br />per second of time. <br />4 That the original construction of said ditch was <br />commenced on the 15th day of April, 1880, from which time the <br />appropriation of water therethrough, by reason of said original <br />construction, should date; that the vrork of original construction <br />was prosecuted and completed vrith reasonable diligenoe. <br />
