<br />~-i ~ ~ i l , Re~iVed <br />~ ~~ ~~~ z 3 2004 <br />~Ivis 6urango Field ptf <br />Ditch iJo. 10-Animas. -- REID--(HALL-IDLE) DITCH, includin~°OfM~neralsg~~iogy <br />Extension and Enlarzement of the Roid Ditch. <br />~~~ <br />Concerning this ditch the Court finds;- <br />I <br />1 That the name of said ditch is the REID DITCH, and <br />that the claimants are Alexander W Davis and The Animas Valley <br />Ditch & Water Company. <br />2 That the headgate of said ditch is located on the <br />:~ <br /> <br />2 <br />a <br />south or east bank, as originally constructed, of what is common- <br />ly referred to as Stephens Creek (an old channel taking water <br />from the Rio Las Animas and also supplied with a small flow of <br />water from small streams flowing into said so-called Stephens <br />Creek from the east) a tributary of the Rio Las Animas, from <br />which stream said Hall-Idle Ditch, now the Reid Ditch, originally <br />derived and diverted its supply of water, at a point on said <br />Stephens Creek, on the Southwest Quarter of Section Two (2), " <br />Township Thirty-six (36), North Range Rine (9} West, N.]S.P.t~., <br />at a point which bears south 89° 25' East, 1370 feet. <br />That thereafter, and on, to wit: the 4th day of April, 1912, <br />said Hall-Idle Ditch, under the terms of a written contract, was <br />acquired by The sinim&6 Valley Ditch and 17ater Company, claimants <br />of the Roid Ditch, a.nd a new ditch waa constructed and named the <br />"Reid Ditch"; that the headgate of said Reid Ditch is located <br />on the east bank of the Rio Las Animas, from which stream it <br />derives and diverts its supply of water at a point on the north- <br />. <br />asst quarter of Section twenty-five (25), Township Thirty-seven <br />(37), North Range Plino (9) West, 2J I,i P 1S; thence along an old <br />water course for a distanco of about threo miles, to a point <br />.:.:.,; . <br />~'?~•-C? <br />
