The access road will be
left intact so that the landowner has access to the reclaimed areas as well as providing a road to
Teddie Grafl's property immediately south of the Anderson Pit. Map C-3 shows the cross-
sections of the reclaimed terrain compazed with the original and the mining terrain.
2. Reclamation Timetable
The time for reclamation is shown below in Table E-1. Exhibit L, Reclamation Costs provides a
cost estimate for the worst case reclamation scenario.
Table E-1
Task # Description Time Needed
Months
1 Mine Phase 1. 52.6
2 Reclaim Phase 1 and mine Phase 2. 61.4
3 Reclaim Phase 2 and mine Phase 3. 41.2
4 Reclaim Phase 3 and mine Phase 4. 78.0
5 Reclaim Phase 4 and mine Phase 5. 66.4
6 Reclaim Phase 5 and mine Phase 6. 35.2
7 Reclaim Phase 6 and mine Phase 7. 53.5
8 Reclaim Phase 7 and mine Phase 8. 48.6
9 Reclaim Phase 8 and mine Phase 9. 55.1
10 Reclaim Phase 9 and mine Phase 10. 61.2
11 Reclaim Phase 10 and mine Phase 11. 76.0
Total months 629.0
Total years 52.4
3. Revegetation Plan
For both the dryland and wetland azeas, the soil will be disced to loosen the soil. Due to the mild
grade, seed can be drilled in both regions. The dryland areas will be seeded with the NRCS
recommended seed mix. Certified weed free mulch will be crimped into the surface at 20001bs
per acre. The wetlands will be seeded with a specially designed mix. Fertilizer maybe added as
deternuned by a soil test at the time of seeding. Heavy fiurows will be left in the tilled topsoil to
provide moisture concentration and shade azeas in order to promote better conditions for
successful vegetation establishment. Seeding will take place during the fall after which a slope
Anderson Pit, Apri107
E-3
