•

Note that the processing azea will move during the mining of the Anderson Pit, so it has been
included in the azeas described above. Map C-2, Mine Plan Map shows the various locations
where the processing facilities will be located throughout the mine life.
Mining will progress through the Phases numerically. The topsoil and overburden from a new
azea will be used to reclaim the previous azea as well as create and peninsulas which have been
previously described. If sufficient overburden is ]eft over at the end of mining, a small island as
shown on Map F, Reclamation Plan Map, will be created. This will reduce material moving as
well as reduce the maximum azea to be reclaimed. Any fines from the crushing and screening
operation will also be salvaged and used in the reclamation. A table of expected mining lives for
each phase is included in Table D-3. The life of each phase is based on the anticipated annual
averaee tonnage mined.
Table D-3
Mining Tonnage per Area
Phase Acres Tons Life
(yeazs)
1 I7.64 1169091 4.38
2 20.60 1365265 5.12
3 13.82 915921 3.43
4 26.16 1733754 6.50
5 22.26 1475282 5.53
6 11.80 782045 2.93
7 17.96 1190299 4.46
8 16.30 1080283 4.05
9 18.47 1224099 4.59
10 20.54 1361289 5.10
11 25.48 1688687 6.33
Total 211.03 13986013 52.45
Note that the areas above only include mining azeas, not azeas along the perimeter.
A gravel surfaced access road to the Redi-Mix/Asphalt Plants has been constructed from 1800
Road neaz the southeast comer of the new permit area in the easement given by Teddy Graff.
This road will be paved with asphalt in the summer of 2007.
