• s
• Although little specific air quality data exists for the upper Williams Fork Valley, the U.S.
Forest Service (USFS) reviewed data from the Leadville National Fish Hatchery, an
area with elevation and remoteness similar to the Mill site. Particulate data collected
from the Leadville site indicate that PM,o values averaged less than 5 micrograms per
cubic meter on an annual basis. The Colorado and national standard for this
constituent is 50 micrograms per cubic meter. The primary sources of particulates in
the upper Williams Fork Valley are the Henderson Mill, tailing impoundment, unpaved
roads, and tailpipe emissions from vehicles of Henderson employees and recreational
users in the area.
•
