• . Weathered bedrock, ripped fill material, and excavated rock -- No greater
than 1.5H:1V
• Soils and unconsolidated fill materials -- No greater than 2H:1 V
3.6 Interim Reclamation
3.6.1 Stabilization
Completed construction conveyor line configurations will require stabilization for
a period of twenty to twenty five years. The objective of interim reclamation will
be to stabilize soil materials for control of erosion and sedimentation. Interim
reclamation will attend to the following guidelines:
Bedrock cut slopes will not receive interim reclamation treatment. Inboard water
drainage will receive stormwater BMPs as directed by construction stormwater
• management guidelines.
Rock fills and cut slopes of weathered non-bedrock will be seeded where the
presence of fine materials allows stabilization seeding to secure a foothold.
Ripped weathered bedrock is expected to revegetate similar to outslopes located
along the present disturbances of the Henderson railroad grade. While the cover
of these fill and cut slopes is not considered suitable for final reclamation
performance standards, the control of erosion and sedimentation is evident on
slopes greater than 1.5H:1V. Best management practices for erosion control will
be applied where water is concentrated over these disturbances. Controls will
include, but are not limited to, ditching and water bar construction, construction
of small sediment basins, and the installation of check dams and hay bale
catchments.
20
January 16.199a
Plan.Coc
