<br />The following information pertaining to wildlife is provided far use by <br />the Land Reclamation []oard in their consideration of a mining permit <br />for fritter fnrnnra Linn <br />The Colorado Division of Wildlife does heretry find, to the best of our <br />knn:aledge, that the impact of the proposed mining operation on wildlife <br />mill be <br />minor <br />•X moderate <br />major <br />htina location: T 48 N, R 17 W, portions of Sections 21, 22, 26, 27 and 28 <br />Wildlife Species List: (may he attached) The major specie in the area is <br />mule deer. Coyotes, bobcats, cottontail rabbits, raptors, jackrabbits and a <br />var-iety of small birds and mammals inhabit the area. Also, there are colonies of <br />prairie dogs. <br />Endangered Species Impacted: None that dre known. <br />As_^,essment of Impact on Wildlife: (may he attached) Deer t~~inter on the <br />mesa tops and side slopes. The impact will come from the removal of vegetation <br />(browse) and human activity associated with mining activities. <br />Mine Reclamation Recommsndations: (may be attached) Structures (buildings, etc.) <br />should be built away from sagebrush parks. Roads should be kept at a minimum. A <br />large amount of human activity away from the mining operation should be discouraged_ <br />,4ny water that could be developed could be used by many forms of wildlife. Should fie <br />a good area to reveaetate with browse and native grass species.
