This Office has broken down the cost so that you can review with Pazkerson
Construction the tasks and cost easier. As I stated in our conversation, the fact that the bond has not been
reviewed in 10 yeazs and the cost to establish some kind of agricultural nurse crop has influenced the bottom line
considerable for the current pit.
A break down of cost to help evaluate them is as follows:
$75.322.00 for current pit conditions. This includes inflation cost from 1992 to present and the addition of an
alfalfa crop to stabilize and protect the agricultural field until a cash crop can be planted per the reclamation plan.
$45.248.00 for the AM-Ol disturbance to Area "A".
$1816.00 for Mobilization and Demobilization for initial and a second seeding. This is for the entire project and
not chazged twice.
Liability and 10% profitLiability and profit brin~the entire total to $144.697.00entire total to $144.697.00.
)f staff has made any estimates that Pazkerson Construction feels is in error or possible might be done by a
different method to lower cost, please feel free to address them with this Office.
If you need additional information, please contact me at the Division of Minerals and Geology, Grand Junction
Field Office, 101 S. 3rd St., Suite 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, telephone no. 970.241.1117.
Sincerely,
.~~~~
G.
