There will be no drill, auger holes adits or shafts at proposed site. <br />all mining activities will be of the surface variety using loaders <br />and graders to excavate and move material from pit area. <br />All slopes will be 3:1 or less. Ponds or lakes aze not a part of this <br />reclamation plan. <br />The owners/operator's choice of reclamation is for rangeland. <br />There aze no plans for the use of site generated or offsite inert <br />structural back fill materials. <br />There aze no surface drainage systems within the proposed <br />permit area. Storm water controls and BMPs will be utilized <br />to prevent storm water from entering the excavated pit area. <br />There will be no unauthorized release of pollutants to the grain <br />and water. Fuels and lubricants for equipment will be self <br />contained no onsite fuel or fluid storage is contemplated other <br />than that which is self contained in the equipment. Types will <br />probably be diesel fuel, gasoline, lubricating oils, and engine <br />coolants. Volumes will be the tank sizes of the various equipment. <br />Plans for topsoil segregation, preservation, replacement and <br />revegetation. List of preferred species to be planted, planting <br />methods and time of planting. <br />The upper 6 to 10 inches of topsoil material will be salvaged <br />and stock piled along the pit perimeter( at the top of the 3:1 slope) <br />for replacement in reclamation or during water mining phases <br />at convenieal locations in the excavated pit floor area. If topsoil <br />stock piles are to be left for more than one growing season, they <br />will be seeded with USDA recommended seed mix. These stock <br />piles will be located out of mine traffic areas and possible temporary <br />stock pile locations. Topsoil will be stripped from all azeas to be <br />mined. During each stage or reclamation activities, after final <br />grading, topsoil will be replaced on the pit floor and 3:1 slope azeas <br />using grader and loader type equipment a minimum thickness of 6 to <br />10 inches. <br />After placement of topsoil on areas scheduled for reclamation, <br />seed beds will be prepared using a disc plow or spring rake <br />harrow. Seed beds will be firm and clean tilled. The seeding <br />operation shall be by broadcast method. After seed application <br />seed beds will be lightly raked. USDA recommended fertilizer <br />application of 40# nitrogen and 40# phosphate per acre; certified <br />straw mulch to be applied at a rate of 1500#/acre; weed control <br />will be as necessazy.
