Reclamation Plan
(a) Description of the type of reclamation proposed to achieve the
reclamation of affected land, reasons for reclamation type
choice amount of acreage and general discussion of methods.
The type of reclamation for the proposed azea of operations will
be for rangeland use. The current site description and use is that
of vacant rangeland. All surrounding lands are currently used as
rangeland. With the exception of the irrigated Salazaz property
located to the west of the proposed azea of operations. Also the
Abeyta land located to the north west of proposed azea.
The total affected azea of approximately 60 acres within the
proposed azea will be reclaimed as rangeland, The azeas
surrounding the pit that are undisturbed will be for topsoil to be
stock piled. Topsoil stock piles will be seeded (via broadcast)
if left longer than one growing season. After the removal of
topsoil stock piles for site reclamation these azeas will be seeded
and fertilized with the same methods and seed/fertilizer mix as
pit floor and slope azeas.
Reclamation will be conducted on an as we go basis where we
mine, and aze no longer extracting material. We will lay down
topsoil and seed the azea. All slopes will be 3:1 a low earth berm
would be used to control and limit storm water from entering the
pit and ramp azeas. Only through direct precipitation will storm
water enter the pit azea. The low berm will extend azound the
entire excavated pit perimeter at the top the 3;1 slope and grain
berm will be located at the top of the access ramp.
Post mine use will be for rangeland.
There will be no public use permitted at the proposed area of
operations before, during or subsequent to the completion of
mining activities and reclamation.
Final grading will provide excavated pit floor azea with a fairly
level surface. Slopes into the excavated pit floor azea will be at
3:1.
Storm water control measures and best management practices
will be used to protect areas outside the affected area. All slopes
into the excavated pit azea will be stabilized at 3:1. There will be
no acid forming or toxic materials produced by mining and/or
reclamation activities at the proposed site.
_ ~.
~A~ 22zoo~
Division of R'clarnatio
Ninin9 any Safety n'
