This leaves 175 acres within the permit boundaries which is
not planned to be affected, including up to 23 acres which MAY be affected incidentally as
necessary to maintain access, storm water drainage, stable slopes, and firebreaks, and which
will, if disturbed, be reclaimed to grassland as discussed. Therefore, the worst case is that 308
acres will be disturbed and reclaimed, and only 152 acres of the 460-acre permit area will not
be affected, as planned.
5. The County will request termination of the current Permit M-1986-172 as soon as the
new amendment to Permit M-1990-025 is approveii. Reclamation release may be requested for
the 27.5 acre area in M-1986-172 at that time, or as weather conditions permit.
6. As discussed in Exhibit L, there is presently 89 acres of affected but not released land
on the new permit area, of which 23 acres has been reclaimed fully but not yet released, and 12
has been seeded but is not yet revegetated fully. It is planned that in 2002-2003, about 20
acres (in addition to the 89 acres) will be affected, 10 acres for the County and 10 acres for
Four States Aggregates. Assuming there is no release of reclaimed land, this will increase the
total affected but not released area to 109 acres.
To summarize the information in Exibit L, through 2003:
ACTIVITY Acres Unit Cost Mark-uo Total
Backfilling 14.8 $ 750 $ 11,100 15% $ 12,765
G & C 53.3 $ 200 $ 10,656 15% $ .12,254
S & FC 48.9 $ 300 $ 14,679 15% $ 16,881
Topsoil 60.0 $ 200 $ 12,006 15% $ 13,807
Reveg 94.8 $ 500 $ 47,415 15% $54,527
$ 95,856 $110,234
The acreage shown is the total to which the activity must be applied, and assumes that the 35
acres which has been reseeded or revegetated but not yet released will require 100%
Letter of clarification Page 2 Hay Camp Pit (Combined)
DMG: M-1990-025. ©2002 WASTELINE, INC.
