Box 571
443 CR 631
Granby, CO 80446
To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing in regards to the amendment application permit (# M-1983-102)
for the Thompson Gravel Pit. The future of the wells in the area is a huge concern of
mine and with all the neighbors. Most of the wells are only 55 to 75 feet deep. We are
all very concerned about possible contamination, and tbe possibility of the pit digging
hrto the ground water. We also know that in the event of hitting the ground water, it
could be catastrophic to our water supply. Another concern of ours is the rights to the
water in which the pit plans to use as wash water for washing gravel. We would like to
see this permit be denied, however of it is approved we would like these issues addressed
before this permit is considered for approval. It seems really unfair to us that this pit
might be approved in a residential area, which is a platted subdivision with homes all
around the proposed area. We all feel that the ground water sugply will be jeopardized if
this is approved. There are just too many questions aril no concrete answers to our
concerns. Thank you for your time.
Mark and Lisa Mirabito
Bill and Jill Hansen
Bill and Sharon Spurlin
Dick and Yolanda Prather
Bill Goodwin
