Strip and stockpile overburden from plant site and construct site access roads with self-loading scrapers
and/or loader and dozer. Utilize a portion of the overburden for a berm around the plant site.
B. Set up plant, consisting of primary crusher, secondary crusher, screens, conveyors, grizzlies and feeder,
generator, scales, office and wash plant equipment. Gravel access road.
C. Strip and stockpile overburden from an area to accommodate 6 months production with scrapers and/or a
dozer and loader.
D. Excavate edge of gravel deposit along slope's with a backhoe and loader combination. When sufficient
area is excavated for loader to operate on the pit floor, excavate and tram to the plant with a loader.
E. Strip additional areas to be mined, placing topsoil on completed mining areas.
F. In the fail of each year, prepare areas for seeding where mining has been completed (level, scarify for seed
bed, fertilize, seed and mulches set forth in the reclamation plan.
G. Continue alternate mining and reclamation through the process of mining.
2. Water Diversions and Impoundments: There are no water diversions planned for this site. Water
impoundments will be constructed in order to store water to be used to wash the materials that are extracted
from the site. These impoundments will also be used to catch and contain storm water from the site. As well,
berms around the perimeter of the mining area will be used to insure that storm water does not leave the site.
3. The size of the area to be worked at any one time: The current site is permitted for 35 acres of disturbance at
any one time. With the addition of a wash plant, ponds and additional stockpiles, we expect to have a
maximum of 100 acres of disturbance at any one time. This disturbance will be kept down to whatever is
necessary for plant site, ponds, stockpiles, and up to 6 months of concurrent mining and reclamation to take
place at any one time.
4. Timetable for the Operation: The life of this operation will depend on the demands of the construction industry
over the next 30 years. Production at the mine is expected to be as high as 5000 tons/day at peak demand
periods. Although demands may be high at times, it is hard to predict what the actual life of the mine will be
due to the continual highs and lows in the construction industry.
5. Nature of the gravel deposit: The Gravel deposit is located on ridge tops throughout the permitted area.
Overburden ranges from 0' to 10' in different areas. The Gravel deposit ranges from 8' to 30' in depth
throughout the area.
''hese items are aii part of our current mining plan. We do not foresee many changes from our past mining in this area.
We will always continue the best mining practices that are available to us.
473-3100 • Fax 473-3109
