Base Products
Tony F. Appelhanz
62339 W. LaSalle Rd.
Montrose, CO 81401
970-249-3061
EXHIBIT G
WATER INFORMATION
The irrigation system In this area was planned and built in the early part of this century.
Early flow is run off from snow melt. Excess is collected in reservoirs and used later in the
season. Original design was by Bureau of Reclamation. It Is now operated by Uncompaghre
Valley Waters Users Association. The land receiving water was determined by soil classification.
Areas with gravel near the surface receive no allocation. This pit Is a dry pit. Any water would
have to come from wasted water from adjoining farm ground that has an allocation. The
amended portion of this pit has an allocation for a large portion of it. But most was never used
on it for economic reasons. With the mine added to the West, this land could never use this
water because it would be at least 39 higher than the floor of adjoining Mine. With the water
allocation and added waste water from adjoining land, this entire area could be irrigated with
gravity flow.
