6. Sediment control features and structures are the saroe as
the runoff control structures. Additional data !s
Included concerning their function.
T. The small amount of topsoil that is available will tie
stockpiled at the location shown at this time. Other
locations will be chosen in con unction with operations
as operations are extended to more distant areas. There
!s no subsoil available. The sand being used in
reclamation is that in the loadout benches, and the same
as that being produced for use !n the raw materials.
There will be no separate storage area for this material.
Data !s Included on the particle size of this material.
The existing topsoil will be used as far as It goes, but
the growth medium over most of the reclaimed area will be
the sand, with manure mixed Into the surface at the rate
of at least 15 tons per acre. There will be at least 6
inches of this mixture.
On the original tree pad detail, 6 inches oP growth
medium is called for. The loadout benches will be
entirely constructed of the sand, so no additional
covering will be necessary.
EXHIBIT E - Reclamation Plan
8. This is to confirm that HOLNAM will use at least half of
the loadout benches In reclamation.
Spacing of tree pads and benches along strike will not be
specified since It has no bearing on the effectiveness of
the structure. All calculations are made on the basis of
a one-foot wide section of the structure, draining a one-
foot wide drainage area up-slope, resulting !n a design
specific length of the drainage area for any structure
regardless of the random strike length of the structure.
HOLNAM commits to leaving no slope longer than the
Unit Drainage Length of the structure below !t.
Approximate locations of structures are shown on Exhiiblt
E, Sheet 2, but experience may alter these locations.
However, by conforming to the principal of leaving no
slope longer than the Unit Drainage Length of the
structure below lt, structure substitutions can be maide
without changing the effectiveness of the plan.
9. From the original tree pad detail, HOLNAM commits to
placing 6 inches minimum of growth media (not topsoil) on
the tree pads. If the blast surface material is not fine
enough, then sand mixed with manure will be used.
Otherwise, the manure will be mixed directly with they
makerial broken up In the blast of the tree pad.
