REVISION N0. EFFECTIVE GATE PAGE
HC-QAC-02 0 1/06/92 86 of 104
' To minimize data entry errors, LIMS data entry requirements must be
' addressed during analytical method training. LIMS data entry guidelines are
also posted at all station terminals as a ready reference source for analysts.
' Analysts must proofread all analytical and quality control data which they
enter into LIMS before exiting the system. All data calculations, dilution
factors, etc. must be verified prior to LIMS data entry. If LIMS data entry
requirements are unclear, contact a laboratory section supervisor or the
QA/QC coordinator before entering this data.
' Significant Fioures
Do not report analytical or quality assurance data to more than three
' significant figures in LIMS. Exceptions to this policy are explained during
analytical method training.
Do not record analytical or quality assurance data using more decimal places
than are specified for the method detection limit.
' Method Detection Limits
Samples which have been diluted due to matrix interference, analyte
' concentration, or lack of sample must have their detection limit manually
changed (increased) in LIMS during data entry.
' Verify the LIMS default detection limit when entering data. Itr this detection
limit is incorrect, contact a laboratory section supervisor or the QA/QC
' coordinator.
Method References
' Method references must be changed during data entry if the default LIMS
method reference varies from the analytical method which was used for
analysis.
Units
1
