<br />' 2.1.3 Transport of Samples: Samples will be transported in iced coolers <br />to the laboratory. The chain of custody will be signed over at the <br />time of sample transfer. <br />' Before signing over the samples, the field sampling personnel will <br />check the following items: <br />t <br />(1) that the chain of custody and sample containers are <br />' in agreement; <br />' (2) that the required information has been recorded on <br />the chain of custody and the sample container; <br />(3) that the sample container is full aced tightly <br />• sealed, and that the sample has been collected in <br />' the correct container; <br />(4) that the sample has been maintained on ice since the <br />time of collection; <br />' (5) that the sample has not been kept with samples <br />from other collection areas; <br />(6) that sufficient quantity has been collected to <br />' perform the intended analysis; <br />(7) that there has been no deviation from sampling <br />protocol; and <br />' (8) that the actual number of samples collectred versus <br />' the number of QC samples (i.e. field duplicates, <br />rinse blanks, and field blanks) is checked to <br />ensure that a sufficient number of QC samples have <br />' been collected. <br /> -6- <br /> I <br />
