PERMIT AMENDMENT -2- 1/11/95
Long term plans are to continue mining Pit Area No. 1 in a
northerly direction, eventually combining it with Pit Area No. 2 .
Depending on clay needs , this is projected at 10-20 years .
Surface water will be diverted around the affected area. A
sediment basin will be maintained for storm water runoff .
EXHIBIT E - RECLAMATION PLAN
All disturbed areas will be reclaimed to range land, its pre-mining
land use.
All disturbed areas will be graded to rolling topography suitable
for range land. This will be accomplished by backfilling mined out
pit areas with overburden as a integral part of the mining
operation to the extent feasible. The areas will then be final
graded using dozers prior to replacement of available soil
material .
All available top soil will be salvaged prior to disturbance and
redistributed on regraded areas prior to reseeding. This
topsoiling and revegetation work will be completed as soon as each
area is mined and no additional surface disturbance is anticipated.
All highwalls that exist upon the completion of mining will be
reduced to at least a 3h to lv slope prior to grading and seeding.
Fertilizing and seeding will be carried out to the extent practical
using recommendations of the SCS as outlined in EXHIBIT J and dated
November 6 , 1990 .
EXHIBIT F - RECLAMATION PLAN MAP
Attached.
EXHIBIT G - WATER INFORMATION
This operation is not expected to directly affect surface or
sub-surface water.
EXHIBIT H - WILDLIFE INFORMATION
Attached.
EXHIBIT I - SOILS INFORMATION
Attached.
