(Golder) is pleased to subrzut this summary of Phase IVb and c Construction <br />Quality Assurance (CQA) services performed for the Cresson Project during the period of May 11 <br />through May 17, 2003. <br />The weather during ti'us reporting period was clear to cloudy. Approximate daytime low <br />temperatures ranged from 24° F to 41° F, and highs ranged from 58° F to 75° E Rain was recorded <br />on May 15. Weather observations were made on six days of this seven-day reporting period. <br />Construction Synopsis <br />Ames Construction Inc. (Ames) of Aurora, Colorado is the earthworks contractor for the Phase PJb and <br />c construction. Ames conducted Phase IVb and c construction activities on six days of this seven-day <br />reporting period (May 12 through May 17, 2003). Poly-Flex conducted Phase IVb construction <br />activities on six days of this seven-day reporting period (May 12 through May 17, 2003). <br />Phase IVb <br />Ames continued excavation of the upper Phase IVb PSSA geomembrane primary anchor trench and the <br />lower secondary anchor trench, excavating approximately 200 feet of northern primary anchor trench, <br />and approximately 150 feet of south ore slope secondary anchor trench. <br />Ames hauled, placed, and compacted Structural Fill (SF) ore material to construct the east end berm of <br />the Phase Nb PSSA.
