Please provide a response to <br />these comments and concerns. <br />6.4.19 EXHIBIT S -Permanent Man-made Structures <br />7. Exhibit S lists four (4) permanent man-made structures within 200 feet of the affected land: fences, <br />unimproved roads, Suttle Ditch, and Yampa Valley Electric Association power line. The stability analysis <br />prepared by Greystone Environmental Consultants, Inc. indicates an adequate factor of safety for the Suttle <br />Ditch assuming a 10 foot setback and an excavated pit slope that has already been backfilled to a 3:1 slope. <br />Please revise the stability analysis to verify an appropriate setback distance an adequate factor of safety for <br />a114 permanent man-made structures assuming a mining face that is approximately 31 feet in depth and at <br />a O.S:1 configuration. As an alternative, you may commit to limiting excavation to at least 200 feet from <br />such structures or you may provide notarized agreements with each of the structure owners. Please <br />respond. <br />Once again, I will look forwazd to your response on or before September 2, 2003 to allow adequate time <br />for review before the September 9, 2003 decision date. Rule 1.8.1 states that changes and additions to the <br />permit application must be filed with the Division and the County Clerk and Recorder.
