<br />B. Land Use Comparisons <br />The proposed mining operations and all adjacent lands are located <br />in the South Platte River floodplain as well as an aquifer re- <br />charge area. The present land uses are agricultural and conser- <br />vation or wildlife habitat. The proposed post-mining land use <br />of wildlife habitat, therefore, will cause no conflicts with <br />adopted state and local land use plans. <br />C. Implementation Requirements <br />The following is a list of applicable requirements of RULE b and <br />corresponding implementation plans: <br />6.1 Grading. <br />a. Backfilling - There will be no need for backfilling. <br />b. Erosion - The screening mounds along the periphery will / <br />j1K dl , ? <br />be constructed with side slopes of not greater tha 2:1 3 .~ <br />and will be revegetated with property selected grasses, <br />shrubs, and trees to prevent erosion problems. <br />c. Timeliness - Grading of screening mounds will take place <br />at the very beginning of mining operations. <br />d. Aesthetics and blater Pollution - There will be no refuse <br />produced which could cause unsightliness problems, nor <br />will there be any acid - fo rnrin9 or toxic materials which <br />could pollute the surface or groundwaters. <br />e. Auger Holes - There will be no drill or auger holes, shafts <br />or addits to be filled and covered. <br />f. Slopes -The outside slopes of the screening mounds will I/ <br />be constructed at a ratio or 2:1 and the inside slopes ~ 0(°` <br />bove and below the water line will not be greater thar~.J". ' <br />g. Farin Machinery - The land is not to lie used for agricultural <br />purposes. <br />
