Please supply this item, Appendix A is not adequate.
See Rule 2.12(6)(a) and (b).
We have gone to significant effort to prepare a
single map to simplify both of our jobs and one
which accurately shows the expected physical
appearance of the area of the affected land,
correlated to the proposed mining and reclamation
timetable. The map shows proposed topography of
the area with contour lines of sufficient detail to
portray the direction and rate of slope of all
reclaimed lands. With the few exceptions noted in
the existing permit, we are reclaiming to open
forest because of the impossible task of predicting
land use demands for these specific lands 30- years
into the future. Open forest provides flexibility
to the future landowner to utilize the land as he
sees fit. Further, reclamation to open forest
meets the full approval of the respective county
land use planning agencies. We feel the map also
meets all the requirements of rule 2.12(3).
E. Water Information
1. Please identify all known aquifers. See Rule
2.12(7)(b)(2).
No aquifers are known to us.
b. Please submit a brief statement or plan showing how
water from disturbed areas will be managed to
protect against pollution of either surface or
ground water both during and after the operation.
See Rule 2.12(7)(b)(3).
Please refer to Section 6.4 of the existing permit.
The only water management change presented in the
amendment is the redesign and reconstruction of an
